This online database is an index to obituaries that appeared in the South Bend Tribune, from 1913 through the present, for people with ties to St. Joseph County.

The default sort order is by Name. You can change the way that you want your results displayed by selecting Address, City, State, or Year Published from the Sort by menu.

The actual obituaries can be viewed on microfilm at the Main Library.

Searching Tips
  • Do not use a comma to separate first and last name
  • Order not important: first name last name, or last name first name
  • Not case sensitive: john jones, Jones, or JOHN JONES
